Man arrested, accused of human trafficking runaway juvenile in Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A juvenile reported missing from The Woodlands area was found in a hotel in Austin last month, and officials said it’s possible she might’ve been a victim of human trafficking.

On Jan. 31, Montgomery County officials found the juvenile with Natraveon McDade after working with family and the Austin Police Department, according to a social media post Monday.

Officials said McDade knew the juvenile was a runaway, and he did not cooperate with police. He was placed under arrest for harboring a runaway, and police added further charges are possible.

Officials said a protection order was put in place for the juvenile, and they were taken to their family in Montgomery County.

McDade was taken to the Travis County Jail at the time of the arrest. Online court records show McDade posted a $3,000 bond on Feb. 6. No other information was available Monday.
