(KRON) – The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the North Bay and south Salinas Valley until 10 a.m. on Monday.
Dense fog can cause sudden visibility changes and visibility reduction of a quarter of a mile or less, according to NWS.
If fog reduces a person’s visibility while driving, the NWS advises not to change lanes or pass other vehicles unless necessary. The weather service also advises drivers to slow down to be sure that the driver can stop within the distance the driver can see.
According to the NWS, Cloverdale, Santa Rosa, Napa, King City, and Bradley are forecasted to have extreme fog.
