Auditions for ‘Stupid Pet Tricks’ TV show coming to Colorado Tuesday

DENVER (KDVR) — Can your dog jump on two feet or can your cat give high fives? There’s a show for that, and it’s called “Stupid Pet Tricks.”

Auditions will be in Colorado on Tuesday.

The show is based on David Letterman’s “Late Night” show segment coined “Stupid Pet Tricks.” The bit that started before the 2000s is now reimagined into a show hosted by comedian Sarah Silverman.

The show features anything from camels doing the limbo to dogs on skateboards to cats driving mini cars. It also shows celebrities like Will Ferrell and even Letterman himself with their pets.

While the first episode of the series airs on Feb. 12, there’s still a chance to feature your talented pet on the show.

The TBS Stupid Pet Tricks Tour stops across five cities in the U.S., including Longmont.

The event features giveaways, interactive pet activities and on-site adoptions along with the chance to audition for the show.

If your dog can do a flip or your cat can bark – or anything odd you can think of, it’s a free event open to the public.

The event is on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont.
